The Green Showroom in conjunction with the exhibition partners Ethical Fashion Show hosted their show in the postal station. They provide Europe’s largest platform for green fashion during Berlin Fashion Week. The program itself offers discussions, presentations and press conferences on sustainability. Presented on the GREENshowroom catwalk are around 40 designers that sustainably produce ecological  high  fashion  with  matching  accessories.    Sustainability  is  a  very current subject even in the luxury segment. In attendance were also a number of high-ranking  guests  from  fashion,  business  ,  politics,  film  and  television, following the latest green fashion collections . Far from the “eco -Look” creative designers from labels including Alma & Lovis , Cocccon , Deep Mello , Farrah Floyd, Inti Ferreira, Lillika Eden , Perfect Lullaby , Pira , Sey Organic Jeans and Skrabak surprised the crowd with creative, modern and unusual looks. All the pieces in the collections are made from sustainable materials that have been produced under fair working conditions. It was mostly easy, casual outfits in muted colors such as a cream wool sweaters and simple black trousers or feel- good outfits in earth tones.  There was a combination of XXL cloth, hats, sophisticated styles in sexy cuts as well as elegant casual looks and stylish business outfits.   A white short shirt dress with a cream-colored jacket featured along with slingbacks and darker rocking jackets and shortleather skirts. A new attitude to green fashion is developing.

Just Cavalli – Revolution and harmony: dreaming of femininity

In the Just Cavalli Autumn/Winter 2015-16 collection, a woman’s desire for freedom meets the formal balance of Bauhaus, creating an imaginary place where the warmth of romance and the formality of techno merge.

The silhouettes have a pure, functional design; lines are slim and slightly flared for miniskirts, or diluted and open for dresses, while the woven profiles of velvet coats blend wide lapels with tall collars and feather embroidery. The tight-fitting shirts are in lace, with fur-edged collars. Both the waistcoats in shearling and feathers and the bomber jackets and aviator jumpsuits in silk cady and lace reveal details that are modern yet feminine at the same time.

Untreated wools with a pavé of micro-studs and jacquard with coppered plaques prevail for knitwear, lit up by vanisè lurex and optical-art prints, which also feature on outerwear and trousers. Brocades with Bauhaus inspiration and lightweight patterns of stems and fronds turn into a flight of fading feathers, in embroidery and prints. Showy zips cut through the revolutionary spirit of the collection with sharp geometrics, framed by long angora scarves.

Warm shades such as rust, lead grey, mustard and deep blood red add depth to the lines. Old rose, orange, green and bright airforce blue play with layers and color filling and variations on a theme of white.

Bags in nappa, velvet or applied ostrich are semi-rigid in three different sizes. Architectural designs also for the ankle boots with column heel, in suede, pony or croc print in plain or patchwork colourways.

This season prints disappear, replaced by new imagination and detail crystallised in cut. Graphics are illustrated with tone-on-tone cut-outs of stars, messages and symbolic portraits, bringing new poetry to the clothes. The designer’s essential signature colour blocks take pride of place. Screen pockets and omnipresent visors, oversize bags in leather and Plexiglas, and technical Velcro sandals enchant this new sport-chic silhouette, to give this commando of women a protection, a contemporary confidence.

Materials are light and sporty in completely Castelbajac colours; yellow, blue and red primaries like rays of sunlight, a tonal orange, all underlined by an ultra-pure white.

Cotton twill and viscose, airy and technical, are mixed accidentally with silk organza for shorts, jumpsuits, bustier dresses and sweatshirts. A pop camouflage is incrusted on retro-futuristic trench-coats and dresses while XXL trompe-l’oeil stitching decorates a raw cotton toile. These new nomads wear their jackets slung over their shoulders like backpacks. Knits in camouflage lace or cotton net complete the collection with a transparent sweater and raincoat, a purity filter. This is the signature of a new femininity: comfortable, functional and creative sportswear for tomorrow’s all-conquering woman, the soldier of peace of 2074.

REEBOK CLASSIC X MELODY EHSANI RETURNS WITH A UNIQUE SNEAKER DUO FOR SS15

The Reebok Classic partnership with LA based designer Melody Ehsani is back for SS15, dropping a standout sneaker pack to accompany the debut apparel collection launched earlier this year. Two much-loved classic silhouettes, the Ventilator runner and high-top Blacktop Pump, are reworked in the distinctive style that has become characteristic of Melody’s previous collaborations with the brand, for an eye-catching duo big on both style and substance.
