The American retailing company Target Corporation is set to launch a new reasonably priced, plus-size womenswear brand named AVA & VIV on February 22, 2015.
Created by the brand’s uber chic in-house design team, the range has been developed based on inputs taken from fashion bloggers Nicolette Mason, Chastity Garner and Gabi Gregg.
Speaking about the line, Stacia Andersen, senior vice president, merchandising, apparel and accessories, Target, said, “Target is synonymous with great design, and with the launch of AVA & VIV, we’re stepping up our fashion game for our Plus-size guests. From stylish original prints to the attention to detail and fit, this line is meant to impress and we can’t wait to share it with our guests.”
Targeted towards women who love fashion and appreciate a good value, the collection will offer a mix of trend-driven statement pieces along with stylish basics like bright skirts, tops, pants and accessories.
The line’s spring look book showcases the season’s looks modelled by the three bloggers who helped developing the collection. According to a press statement, the yet-to-be released range will be updated monthly.
Founded in 1911, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Target Corporation is the second-largest discount retailer, owning some 1,934 stores, in the US.
