English former professional footballer David Beckham has again teamed up with his long-time Swedish collaborator H&M to launch a new exclusive fashion edit selected from the latter’s current seasonal offering.
The 39-year-old soccer star has hand-picked few of his favorite pieces from the retail behemoth’s spring-2015’s Modern Essentials collection.
Talking about the new range, the footballer says, “I am thrilled to continue and extend my collaboration with H&M by selecting my favorite pieces from this spring’s Modern Essentials collection. Each piece is a new wardrobe classic that will update every man’s spring wardrobe with great style.”
Key pieces from the fashion edit will include a linen bomber jacket, a white chalk-washed denim jacket, a car coat, a sharp linen blazer, a city-slick polo shirt and a poplin white shirt.
Apart from choosing the ensembles from the menswear line, the ex- Manchester United member has also posed for a campaign (shot by Monsters Ball director Marc Forster) wearing the edits.
“Marc Forster is one of my favorite directors – I can’t wait to reveal the new campaign with H&M,” says Beckham about the advertorial director.
Foster also shared his experience on working with the football legend, “Most of us are familiar with David’s innate sense of style and design, however it was his acute eye for cinematic storytelling that struck me during the filming of this campaign. He doesn’t make H&M clothing look good, he makes it look great.”
The new edit, which will be released on March 5, 2015, would coincide with the launch of the player’s latest instalment from his existing David Beckham Bodywear line with the same multinational purveyor.
Based on a palette of navy blue, grey melange and broken white with accents of orange red, the collection for spring includes loungewear pieces like Henleys, raglan-sleeved shirts, crewnecks and a jersey vest. Stripes appear as either trims or across whole garments to add a new classic twist.
Founded in 1947, H & M Hennes&Mauritz AB (H&M) is synonymous with affordable as well as up-to-date and high quality fashion. The company has a wide product range that is divided into a number of different concepts for women, men, teenagers and children.
