The place to be was the INC Lounge at the Time Hotel on West 49th Street Friday evening as Fashion Avenue News Networking and Cover Model event got underway with the sounds of DJ Frank Nitti. As people arrived they were greeted by the Editor-in-Chief herself, Sofia Davis; “Welcome to the Fashion Avenue News Networking & Cover Model Event. The excited heighten the moment you walked into the room as a mass of Press/Media/Reporters snapped your photo as you walked the Red Carpet & posed in front of the Step N Repeat. Each time the glass elevator went down, it came up filled with more people. This evening was to celebrate SuperModel & Cover Girl Tiffani Renee & American Couture Designer Clarence Black. The event was hosted by the dapper FAN Managing Editor, Allison Brown.
Cover Model Tiffani Renee looked stunning in the Clarence Black Couture Safety Pin dress as she posed for photos and walked the runway to Bow Down by Beyonce. Mr. Black, always the sophisticated gentlemen, looked fabulous.
It was also the 3 years anniversary for Fashion Avenue News magazine and it would not be complete without a cake. The cake, a runway with flashing lights, spinning balls, models, fireworks and FAN employees, was a creation of Master Baker Quinton Bailey. Fabulous is an understatement.
Celebrities that filled the evening were; producer Kevin Parker – Philly Fashion Week, NeKesha King – December FAN Cover Model, i-Fashion Models, Elliott – Small Boutique Fashion Week, Baltimore Fashion Week, Bronx Fashion Week, Petia Bradshaw – Social Media Expert, UBM Models, Yvonne Forbes & Delvon Johnson – producers of Fashion in the Fashion Lane Reality TV Show, Ja’Dee Murphy, HBO, Phil Harris – Jewelry Designer, Designer Michi, Norman Josey (LockDown), Tyrone Chablis, Richard Q, and many more.
Designer Kenya Smith of Motor Sports, showed a wonderful, exciting collection with beautiful models at the 7pm.
Nothing warms up a crowd like a SwimWear show…. ALL MALE SWIMWEAR. The ladies were in for a treat as the Shades of Chocolate and UBM Models graced the 8:30pm Runway.
If that was not enough, the talented Sharon Zaslaw taught the audience how to “Sweat Sexy” with the Belly Dance Workout. She teaches a class at Alvin Ailey every Friday evening at 6:30pm, everyone wanted to get in on the act, Oh What A Night!!!
The best part of the evening was, it was REAL networking. People were chatting and giving out their cards and making connections. There was the Vera Moore Beauty Bar along with numerous other Fashion Bars that were available for people to visit.
