FASHION WEEK – LAUNCH NYC IS CHANGING THE FASHION GAME – FABULOUS

LAUNCH NYC is a SMASH HIT….

LAUNCH NYC may be new on the fashion scene but it’s not new to Fabulosity.  The evening started with a beautiful space, easily accessible and enough seats for everyone.  Once seated the magic begins.  Designer Mimi showed a stunning collection entitled, METAMORPHOSIS, featuring  hand constructed garments, each one more beautiful than the next.  She displayed  great attention to detail and really knows the meaning of elegant glamour.  Garments had  beaded fringe panels, beaded bustle and signature chain stitch detailing.  The shoes were beautiful, more of jewels than shoes, with crystal embellishments, simply to die for.  The models were confident and poise.  Surprisingly, this is the most diverse group of models I have seen since I started covering Fashion Week, very refreshing.

The event was well executed as they had easy Media check in, a press lounge (2nd floor) and free WiFi.   They also have lots of “perks”.  If you are a photographer, you can take a few photos in their photo studio.  Also they allowed the Media to take photos of the models in the garments after the show.

Launch NYC has a great team of professionals working with them, just to name a few; PR & Front of the House – AMP3 PR and Hair Styling provided by Eva NYC for designer Mimi.

Some of the sponsors for the event were; Manufacture New York, Adorama, Canon, Sony, Storefront, Runa and Profoto.

MIMI - LAUNCH NYC

ABOUT MIMI

Mimi uses natural fibers, organic dyes acquired from the earth, and favors the intricacies of textiles that were handmade, as this establishes the story and connection to the artists who came before us and their unique craft. By combining recovered antique materials and employing hand-sewn haute-couture techniques Mimi creates artistically designed sustainable couture garments that achieve zero waste, and captures for a new generation the irreplaceable history that would otherwise have been lost with these forgotten fragments.  For additional information on MiMi go to http://miminewyork.com, for additional on Launch NYC go to http://www.launchnyc.co
