Karo and Burkhalter_0284

As I twirl out of the taxi and dash inside the Dream hotel, I fall in love with its elegance, instantly.  I get directions to the PHD Lounge and am met by a security office standing strong, “Yes, can I help you?” I say PHD Lounge, he says “name please” I say Fashion Avenue News, he says “OH, GO RIGHT UP…. I smile, I can get used to this.

I arrive at the PHD Lounge, and this place is breathtaking, with a panoramic view of NYC.  This event is produced by Avian of NYC Runway Shows and is set to be a night to remember.  She is a top notch, hi end promoter of fashion events around the world.  As I am escorted to my VIP (roped off) booth, people pour in; there is wall to wall Press, lights, camera, action…. The fashion show starts and the magic begins….

Burkhalter Couture (www.burkhaltercourture.com) opened the show with elegance dresses, beautiful gowns and models that looked like they stepped right off the pages of Italian Vogue, GORGEOUS.  The entire look is well put together, from head to toe.  The models “FEEL” the garments, it’s almost as if they have an emotional connection to the clothes.  The fabrics are beautiful, garments are detailed and colors are perfect.  This is true class and sophistication.

Karo Swimwear (www.karoswimwear.com)…. You don’t swim, you pose.  The swimwear is bejeweled, and fitting the models perfectly.  There was a great sailor swimsuit that the crowd just went crazy for.  The models eluded that “Marilyn Monroe” sexy, totally fabulous.
